NEXTACT
Next Act is a community of scientists, teachers and education researchers who are aware of the challenges that Climate Change poses, and the need for meaningful responses. It is grounded in the idea that education offers hope, and that hope is essential in our response to the Climate Emergency. We hope that our work will inspire and support others who share our belief in the potential of education. Our community is guided by an easy-to-use process that offers transformative opportunities for those interested in taking action. Participatory action learning and action research (PALAR) is a methodology for teachers, scientists, students, researchers and community leaders to work together on ‘wicked’ problems like Climate Change. Our community is exploring four ideas that have emerged from our action research projects, which we hope might inspire you to try them or to develop your own climate action plans.
